WHS fundamental courses

We have made arrangements with our WHS insurers to provide free on-line learning modules. If any staff member wishes to do so then they should contact their HR Manager stating the modules they would like to complete. A log-in will be arranged for you. Once the module is complete, you will be issued with a certificate of completion.

The modules are:

  • ARMED ROBBERY SAFETY AWARENESS- This course will provide you with an understanding of how your behaviour can help to protect your safety and the safety of others during a robbery related incident.
  • WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY FUNDAMENTALS- This course provides an understanding of some of the issues relating to health and safety that workers may face in the workplace.
  • RISK MANAGEMENT FOR MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS- This course has been developed to provide managers and supervisors with an understanding of how risk is managed in the workplace and their role in reducing risk. It should take approximately 1 hour to complete.
  • MANUAL TASKS FOR WORKERS- This course has been developed to provide workers with a basic understanding of the risks associated with manual tasks and an awareness of how to perform those tasks safely.
  • BULLYING AND HARASSMENT A) FOR MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS- This course has been designed to provide managers and supervisors with an understanding about workplace bullying and harassment, and what they can do to prevent and manage bullying and harassment in their workplace. B) FOR LINE STAFF- This course has been designed to provide employees with an understanding about bullying and harassment in the workplace, the type of behaviour that should be avoided and what employees can do if bullying or harassment is occurring in their workplace.
  • NATIONAL INFORMATION PRIVACY AWARENESS- This course has been developed to provide an understanding of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and 2014 amendments how to apply it within organisations.
  • OFFICE ERGONOMICS- This course has been developed to provide an understanding of how to set up a safe, healthy and productive office workspace, and how to work safely in an office environment.
  • CONFLICT RESOLUTION- This course has been developed to provide an understanding of how to manage and resolve conflict.
  • DUTY OF CARE FOR A) MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS- This course has been developed to provide an overview and understanding of WHS responsibilities at each level of the workplace and a practical understanding of how to fulfil duty of care responsibilities. (B) WORKERS- This course will provide workers with an understanding of how to fulfil their duty of care to help maintain the health and safety of the workplace.
  • INJURY MANAGEMENT FOR A) EMPLOYERS AND B) EMPLOYEES- This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the injury management process, their rights and responsibilities regarding injury management, and the steps they need to take if injured at work.
  • CONTRACTOR INDUCTION- This course has been developed to provide learners with a basic understanding of work health and safety (WHS) requirements, risk management, and injury prevention in the workplace.
